Sierra Nevada Ear, Nose & Throat was founded in 1995 by Dr. Paul Manoukian to provide clinical and surgical care of the ear, nose and throat. Today, we continue to be a physician-owned practice guided by our team of skilled and compassionate doctors, not a hospital or corporation. A native of Carson City, Manoukian returned to the Silver State to open a patient-centered ENT practice after completing his medical training at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. It was at Johns Hopkins that Manoukian met a like-minded physician, and his soon-to-be partner, Dr. Brian Romaneschi, a fellow Johns Hopkins resident.
SNENT opened with offices in South Lake Tahoe, California, and Gardnerville, Nevada. In 1996, a year after opening, Dr. Romaneschi joined the practice. Together, Manoukian and Romaneschi have built a medical practice focused on making a genuine difference in their community through high quality, patient-centered care.
In 2000, SNENT added a Carson City office. Audiologist Dr. Heather Dean joined in 2006. The team gained another member in 2016 with Physician Assistant Erin Burns.
This is what we do
SNENT offers care for the full range of pediatric and adult ear, nose and throat conditions, including ear and throat infections, head and neck illnesses, sleep apnea, snoring, dizziness, voice, sinus and hearing problems. We specialize in endoscopic sinus surgery and head and neck surgery, including in office balloon sinuplasty. SNENT surgeons are also trained in the art of facial and neck cosmetic surgery. Through our sister office – Sierra Nevada Hearing Aid Center – we offer hearing tests and dispense and service hearing aids.
Putting our skills to work for you
SNENT physicians are expertly trained surgeons, as well as clinicians. After completing medical school, residency and additional fellowship training, each physician has received board certification from the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery. In addition to their extensive medical and surgical training, they keep up on the latest ENT developments with continuing education.
We are here to serve your needs. From working with your insurance carrier to get coverage to getting you scheduled quickly at one of our three convenient locations, we are here for you.
A Training Expertise Center for Balloon Sinuplasty
SNENT is proud to be a Training Expertise Center for Balloon Sinuplasty. Dr. Manoukian is an Acclarent product expert and provides education to other ENT physicians about new procedures and surgical techniques using Acclarent products. Balloon Sinuplasty is an innovative procedure that provides patients with chronic sinusitis lasting relief by unblocking the sinuses by slowly inflating a small balloon.
